StriVectin® Anti-Aging Skin Care Products Review
Product Name: StriVectin® by Klein-Becker USA®
Rating:
The StriVectin family of products offered by Klein-Becker USA consists of StriVectin-SD®
(originally used to treat stretch marks and now used to treat wrinkles); StriVectin-HS® (a deep wrinkle serum); eye
cream, neck cream, wrinkle filler, facial sculpting cream, and resurfacing serum. Based on a sampling of user responses, StriVectin appears to
help fewer than half those who tried it, though it does produce some results for a minority of users.
The Claim:
By posing the question, “Is This Cosmetic Breakthrough Better than Botox®?” StriVectin, has very
cleverly positioned their anti aging skin care products beside the highly discussed and debated, and very expensive anti-wrinkle phenomenon,
Botox. “Who would have thought a stretch-mark cream would turn out to be the anti-wrinkle breakthrough of the decade!”

The association with Botox, besides being a skillful marketing ploy, leaves some wiggle room. They are
not saying they are better than Botox, but they are making you think they could be. Referring to StriVectin as “the anti-wrinkle breakthrough of
the decade,” however, leaves no wiggle room and raises enormous customer expectations. Does StriVectin fulfill those
expectations?
The Evidence:
The StriVectin website appears to contain more marketing hype than substance. They go out of their way
to tell us the story of how a stretch-mark cream called StriVectin-SD® accidently became an anti-wrinkle
“miracle,” diminishing “the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and crows' feet.” They point to how women and “Boomer men” are buying this product
like crazy. Unfortunately, the website provides no customer testimonials, no charts, no before and after photographs to back up these
statements.
One of the more compelling arguments for the effectiveness of an anit-aging skin care product is the
ingredients formulation. There is a vague reference to “StriVectin-SD’s® functional components,” but we are not told what these
components are. There is no “Ingredients” page or list on the website explaining why these ingredients have been chosen and what they do, nor any
enlarged image of the label showing these “functional components.”
The footer of the website page provides the following miniscule gray type: “Study
References: 1 PO438 “Relevance of antiwrinkle treatment of a peptide: 4 months clinical double blind study vs excipient.” 20th World Congress of
Dermatology (60 subjects - 4 mos.) 2 PO179 “Pentapeptide offers improvement in human photoaged facial skin.” 20th World Congress of Dermatology
(204 subjects - 14 weeks).”
We are told that “the anti-wrinkle oligo-peptide tested in the breakthrough clinical trials turned out to be
a key ingredient in the StriVectin® cream,” but nothing more is explained. How much of this oligo-peptide is used in StriVectin? Are the
“functional components” used in the study the same as those used in StriVectin? How do these ingredients work together? For all we
know, the amount of oligo-peptide used in the study could be far greater than that used in StriVectin. If the folks at StriVectin had spent
more time explaining the relationship between the study and their product, we would feel more comfortable with their claims.
The Ingredients:
No list of ingredients to be found on website. No enlarged image of label to show
ingredients. “5% StriaDril complex” shown on product tube, but we don’t know what that
means. The phrase “StriVectin-SD’s® functional components” is used but we are
not told what these components are.
Positives:
- Customers reporting positive results using StriVectin are in a minority, but the product appears to help
some individuals.
- Only a small minority of users experienced adverse affects.
- 30 Day Money Back Guarantee OK, but would like to see 60 day or longer guarantee.
Negatives:
- No customer testimonials, nor before and after photos to back up their claims.
- Based on an independent sampling, more than half of StriVectin users reported no effect or adverse
effects on their skin from using StiVectin.
- No list of ingredients anywhere on website.
- Very Expensive at $135 for 6 oz tube. There are more effective anti aging skin care products on
the market for the money.
- No physical address shown.

Conclusion:
We Do Not Recommend Strivectin. Based on a majority of negative customer feedback, excessive product
price relative to effectiveness, no customer testimonials or photos on website, and no disclosure of ingredients list, we cannot recommend this
product at even one half the asking price.
We strongly recommend you broaden your options by checking our reviews of Xtend-Life, Dermajuv, LifeCell, and Revitol to compare and contrast these anti-aging skin care
products with one another and with Strivectin before you make any decision.
