Common Skin Complaints and What to Do About Them
For many of us, skin complaints are right up there in our list of things that make us unhappy. It
should come as no surprise. Your skin is what others see when they look at you. Healthy, beautiful skin can make the most average-looking
person appealing and attractive. Bad or damaged skin can make otherwise attractive persons appear homely.
Your skin constitutes the largest organ in your body, about 16% of your total weight. It covers and protects everything that is
inside you. Some types of skin disorders, because of the skin damage they cause, make it easy for germs, bacteria and viruses to
enter your blood stream and body.

The best thing you can do to minimize skin complaints is to take good care of
yourself.
Eat right, exercise, get sufficient rest, drink lots of water, avoid stress and environmental pollutants, and protect yourself
against too much sun exposure. This may sound obvious to you, but you’d be surprised how many people know these things and somehow cannot,
or will not, put them into practice.
Easier said than done? Maybe, but if you want better skin, you will have to
do your part. In general, common sense and practicing good skin care techniques on a daily basis is the best way to keep your skin
healthy and looking great.
Though heredity can often predispose individuals to any number of skin disorders, the most common skin
complaints today can be addressed and treated successfully.
